C-PACEDesk

Does my building qualify for C-PACE?

C-PACE eligibility is decided by the property — where it is, what the money pays for, and who holds the mortgage. Answer six questions and this check tells you whether C-PACE looks like a fit, needs checking, or does not fit, and where to go if it does not.

1 Where is the property?
2 What kind of building?
3 What would the money pay for?
4 Where is the project?
5 Is there a mortgage on it?
6 Do you own the property?

C-PACE eligibility questions

What decides whether a building qualifies for C-PACE?

C-PACE eligibility turns on the property’s address and jurisdiction, the scope of work being financed, and who holds the mortgage. Some states run one statewide program; in others adoption is county by county, so a state showing as active does not guarantee the specific jurisdiction your property sits in has opted in — that is the first thing to check.

Is the result of this check an approval?

No. It reads your answers against the state status in our data and the program rules on our C-PACE page. It is not an application, not a credit decision and not a commitment to lend — C-PACE Desk is not a lender. The next step is a person checking the actual address and scope.

Any answers you gave above are filled in. Add the address and we will confirm the jurisdiction, the eligible scope and the senior lender consent path — or tell you plainly that C-PACE does not fit.

  • Commercial and business purposes only — we do not place consumer loans.
  • If the project does not qualify, we say so and tell you what would change that.
  • No credit pull to get an answer on program eligibility.
  • We reply within one business day.

C-PACE eligibility is decided by the property — its address, its jurisdiction, the scope of work, and who holds the mortgage. That is why this form asks about the building rather than about you. The more of it you can answer, the more specific our first reply is.

1 Who you are
2 The property
3 The project What is being financed? tick all that apply
4 Existing debt

This is the part that most often decides the timeline. A C-PACE assessment sits ahead of the mortgage, so most programs require the senior lender's written consent.
